This understated but beautiful perennial is ideal for cottage gardens and herbaceous borders with its upright delicate pink booms. Part of the saxifragaceae family, it is semi-evergreen throughout Winter season, requiring little maintenance apart from butting back the flower stems when they have finished. Will self seed if left to sow but not invasive.
Prefers full sun but will tolerate partial shade, is not soil fussy and will cope with poor, dry soil. Grows to around 70 cms high when in flower and will spread to a good size clump fairly quickly. Will produce only a few stems during first season but thereafter will thrive in the right conditions. Will happily tolerate cold temperature but will not like being continuously wet.
