One of the finest perennials in any herbaceous border or cottage garden. Upright, clump-forming plant with crimson 'pincushion' flowers on many branching stems which are ideal for cutting. Very long flowering season over the season from July into the Autumn. Hardy and will seed if left to sow. Will reach full height after 2 - 5 years.
Loved by pollinators so great for attracting bees and butterflies. Not particularly bothered by pests. Prefers a position in full sun. Requires little maintenance apart from cutting right back to the centre in the Autumn for the dormant period. Easy to grow and undemanding.
Height: up to 100 cms Spread: up to 45 cms
