Galega Officinalis 'Alba', commonly known as Goat's Rue is an informal plant with spikes of pure white pea-like flowers which are produced in from June - August above finely divided bright green foliage.  Looks best scrambling among low branches of shrubs which support the handsome foliage and allow the flower stems to space themselves and make a good display.  If left unsupported, plants may, in rich soil, trail over the ground and can be supported with twiggy pea sticks to raise them up off.  Flowers are a magnet for bees.

Prefers moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.  In good growing conditions plants can become vigorous and may self-seed. In wild gardens self-sown seedlings produce a delightful natural effect.  Will need staking in windy positions.

Height: 45 - 120 cm     Spread: 50 - 90 cm
