The Chilean glory vine is an exotic-looking, easy to grow climber which clings by it's tendrils. It has dark, evergreen pinnate foliage and bright tubular red, orange or yellow flowers from June to October. The plants are not hardy but in mild regions they may survive, dying down in winter, otherwise they should be treated as half hardy annuals. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it the Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
Grow Eccremocarpus scaber in fertile well-drained soil in full sun, ensuring it has support to scramble on/over. Deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering.
Approx height and spread: 3 metres x 1.8 metres
