Reliable and long-lived perennial which provides attractive vertical accents to a planting. Evergreen sword like leaves encircle slender wiry stems with simple pure white flowers opening progressively up each stem to culminate in a fine airy show between May and July.
Prefers a dry, sunny spot - being drought tolerant and very easy to grow - but will tolerate partial shade. Requires almost no maintenance apart from cutting out of old foliage to reveal attractive new growth. Flower spikes can be left to mature to form attractive seed heads which will self-seed if permitted. Moderate rate of growth allows plants to be lifted and divided in Spring or Autumn.
Height: 70 cms
