Field Scabious is a familiar parent of one of our favourite cottage garden plants. It has a very long flowering period and so is a valuable nectar source for bees, butterflies and other pollinators. Each plant can produce up to 50 pincushion type flowers and blooms are the largest of our native scabious species. Finches and linnets love the seeds of this plant.
A hardy perennial which prefers a position in full sun. Ideal for cottage garden borders, wildflower areas and cutting beds.
