Not to be confused with annual geraniums, or pelargoniums, the cranesbill is the true hardy geranium species. Perennial and generally long lived. Not particularly fussy regarding soil type as long as well drained. After flowering, a severe shearing benefits the foliage and encourages continued flowering. Once established, requires very little care and blooms often from May until the first frosts.
'Alba' is a clump forming perennial which p.rovides pretty ground cover with masses of pure white blooms on rich green foliage.
