A delicate little plant with large flowers with a distinctive purple centre. Compact, clump forming, semi-evergreen plant with sword-like leaves which flowers from late Spring through Summer. To encourage re-blooming, remove spent flowers and seed pods. Can be propagated by dividing or self-seeding. Makes a lovely addition to gravel beds or border fronts. Not fussy on soil type, can tolerate poor to average conditions in full sun with moist but well drained soil. Can survive through the UK Winters with some minor leaf damage.
