These splendid perennial plants are very easily grown, forming in tiers on upright, stems in late Spring and early Summer. Moisture-loving, thriving in damp, dappled shade, making them useful perennials for woodland plantings, bog gardens and the damp soil close to the edges of ponds. Choose a semi-shaded position on rich, fertile, moist, well drained soil. Will also thrive in a peaty, acid soil and can also tolerate a position in full sun if the soil remains reliably moist. Deadhead faded primula flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. Divide over-crowded clumps between late Autumn and early Spring, preferably during a wet spell. Will also self seed if left to sow.
Height/Spread: 45 cms
