A pretty, dainty relative of the common mallow, this perennial variety has become a popular cottage garden plant. Alba is an erect plant with hairy stems and deeply cut, feathery leaves, which flowers with abundance between June and September. Easy to grow and very tolerant of conditions, with crisp white flowers and slightly musk scented leaves. Pollen rich flowers are attractive to beneficial insects. Winner of an RHS Award of Garden Merit for reliability and good performance. Perfect for cottage/wildflower gardens or a sunny border. This perennial may be short lived but can be left to self seed for successive plants.
