A pretty perennial plant which adds colour early on in the summer season. Dense displays of double ruby-red flowers between May and June, which are ideally suited to any cottage garden or herbaceous border, produced on tall stems, sometimes known as 'Dove's at the Fountain' as the dainty flowers nod in the breeze. Good for cut flowers and loved by bees and other pollinators. Pretty pest free and requires little maintenance, only cutting back stems in the autumn as leaves are semi-evergreen. Prefers full sun or partial shade.
