Erinus alpinus or fairy foxglove is a pretty semi-evergreen perennial forming a cluster of small rosettes of narrow mid-green leaves. In late spring leafy stems grow up to 10cm above the foliage bearing umbels of small starry pale purple-magenta or pure white flowers.
This is a good plant for rock gardens or among gravel as it will self-seed into any cracks or crevices available. Will spread freely over time be self-seeding.
Well drained soil in sun or partial shade.
