Not to be confused with annual geraniums, or pelargoniums, the cranesbill is the true hardy geranium species. Perennial and generally long lived. Not particularly fussy regarding soil type as long as well drained.
Meadow Cranesbill is a locally common wildflower found in meadows which provides masses of large, sky blue blooms with white eyes on deeply divided green leaves which make it an attractive addition to any herbaceous border or cottage garden. Very hardy plant which will produce flowers in late spring and early summer for many years.
