An unusual evergreen tender bulbous plant that produces strappy green leaves and curious white flower spikes that resemble paintbrushes. Best grown in a fairly shallow pot as they are shallow rooted and flower better when their roots are congested.
Grow with the top half of the bulb exposed and place in indirect light in a half-sunny position and in well drained compost. Bulb not in flower at the moment but is fully established, with well developed roots and thick main stem. Can be grown outside in summer if protected from direct sun and strong winds, although slugs and snails love this plant! Mist spray the leaves occasionally, always water very carefully and do not over water this plant, letting it dry out for at least a week between watering.
