A pretty variety of Lamium with square stems and coarsely textured pairs of leaves with striking, variegated leaves. Produces double-lipped flowers in a bright golden yellow during the Spring months. The common name "dead-nettle" refers to its resemblance to the very distantly related stinging nettles, but unlike those, this plant does not have stinging hairs and so is harmless or apparently "dead". Widely cultivated as ground cover likes shady, moist areas so ideal for woodland or marginal planting. Frost hardy and grows well in most soils. Blooms are loved by bees and other pollinators.
Height: approx 20- 30 cms Spreads over time by seed and stem rooting
