Carex Elata 'Aurea'
Also known as Bowles's golden sedge, this tuft-forming ornamental grass has golden yellow leaves with triangular stems bearing blackish-brown flower spikes during April and May. Ideal pond marginal or in a bog garden, but also suited to cottage and informal planting styles.
Requires little maintenance apart from cutting back flower stems after flowering. Prefers moisture retentive soil in sun or partial shade.
